Let’s paint a scenario; you’ve been using your phone all day and suddenly there’s a blank screen, so you try to bring it back on and of course, it remains off. why? Why didn’t it come on immediately you pressed the switch, and why does it take seconds to load before it comes up after it’s been charged? My point exactly, the human body can be likened to a machine that runs and gets better when given adequate care and servicing.  When we rush out of bed after hours of sleep, it sends a weak signal to our brains because we need a few moments to load the devices in the body. Yea, just like your phone loads its app before coming on. So, when next you feel like rushing out of bed immediately you wake up, take a deep breathe and count 1-10, then get up slowly… Else you incur the wrath of the wobbly sensation and constant morning headaches.

DRINK UP TO 2 GLASSES OF WATER

Although when we get up every morning, there’s a longing in our bladder to release urine and this is completely normal. So, why should I drink water since I’m already expelling it out in another way? I’m glad you asked. Did you know that drinking water every morning has specific benefits like flushing out the toxins from your body? Also, it helps in preparing your body for the day’s work.

MEDITATE

This is so important especially if you are an employer of labor or an employee. Think about the things you need to achieve for the day, look over your journal and focus on doing at least 70% of your daily plan. Do this consistently and you’d be surprised how much progress you can make in such a short while.

EXERCISE

You don’t always have to visit the gym every day to keep fit. Every morning takes a few minutes (10-15) minutes to exercise and reenergize your body for the day’s work. It helps in strengthening your bones and aiding your body to function properly for the day.

ENSURE YOU HAVE YOUR BREAKFAST

Never skip breakfast! No matter how much of a hurry you are in, you should ensure that your body is equipped with the necessary nutrients for the day. Try as much as possible not to work on an empty stomach because this can in turn distort your progress for the day, as your body needs enough nutrients to be able to function properly.

WASH YOUR HANDS

This is very essential as our hands are the gateways to reaching every other member of the body. Do you know that bacteria can spread from your hands to your eyes, nose, mouth and ears? Washing your hands periodically decreases the chances of transferring germs to your body whether consciously or unconsciously.

EAT HEALTHY FOODS

One of the ways we can combat this virus is by aiding our immune system with enough strength to fight against potential harm, and we can only do this by eating healthy and taking enough vitamins. Foods such as vegetables, proteins, zinc, and other nutrients help in strengthening the body against harm and this can in turn protect you from getting the virus.

EXERCISE REGULARLY

Don’t wait until you are weak to exercise regularly. Regular exercise strengthens your bones, boost your energy, improves your mood and combats health conditions.

DRINK A LOT OF WATER

Let’s take this test today, for the remaining days of the month take up to six glasses of water daily and report whatever you’ve noticed in your health.

Happy new year everyone! 2021 is finally here and although, there has been a lot of unpredictable events in the past weeks, let us all look to this day with a new a positive mindset because indeed, the latter shall be greater than the former. So, how do we start? Where do we begin? For many of us, our yearly resolutions have been revised and revived to fit our individual perspectives. When you think about it, we forget many of these resolutions before January is over and keep living like we never made them in the first place. Any day from now we would start our methodological plan, quarterly reviews and so on. Are you ready? Below are some steps to help in fulfilling our aspirations for the new year.

The first step to actualizing our plans starts with constant effort. We can’t just say we are ready to do things based on words alone, our actions must align with our aspirations. In other words, after writing down your plans for the year, start working on it immediately. It doesn’t have to be the full exhibition of it at first, take it little by little and watch your dreams come alive.

Secondly, learn the art of self-improvement. Although, there are certain people who remain complacent with their lifestyle and it works for them, but if you really desire to achieve great things, you must always improve. Learn a new skill, take an online course, expand your horizons, know what you want and the market competitions, just IMPROVE in every form. Trust me, it works like magic.

Thirdly, don’t lose hope. In all your doings, you must always have it at the back of your mind that everything works better with time. Don’t rush yourself, don’t procrastinate, and don’t lose hope. Always find a balance between these three worlds and the world will soon be at your feet.

HURRAY! Its Christmas! Okay, this year really did a number on us and I know that many of us have not gotten the hang of it yet, but firstly I want to say a very big congratulations to us all. YOU MADE IT. Of all the highs and lows, the good and bad, and all sorts of events this rollercoaster of a year filed us in; you’re still standing strong, and for this, you’re more than a conqueror. Now let’s face it, 2021 is on the way, and as much as some of us might have given up on a whole lot of things we had planned for the year 2020, DON’T. This is the perfect time to learn the art of strategizing.

A lot of us had things planned before the Christmas season and as a result of all that transpired in the year, none of those plans came to pass. Although, I want to assure you that being alive is more than a treasure especially in this season, we make so many plans that we don’t even bother to think if we’re still going to be here to achieve them, but look at you, still here, still planning…  that is something to be grateful for. We may not have the resources to go out with our family members this season, or travel outside the country as a result of the newly imposed lockdown being put in place by a lot of countries, but there are a list of indoor activities we can always engage in, to spice up the moment.

Some of these activities include; cooking together, playing board games, watching movies, non-stop Christmas songs to liven the air, decorating together, taking pictures together, walking our pets, and a list of other fun activities we can do while being indoors and practicing social distancing.  All these activities help in bonding and appreciating the time spent with our family and loved ones. Some of us are workaholics whose jobs take up a lot of family time and maybe, this is a time of reflection for those of us in that category. Take a moment to think about how important this season is for that child you barely see except on weekends, for your partner who only sees a glimpse of you at occasional periods. Do this for them, and in a short while you would realize how beautiful it is to spend time with people you love.

There are a lot of beautiful styles we see on the internet, magazines and so on, and sometimes we get carried away and impose that on our children, without even knowing if the texture of their hair is suitable for it. In our last publication, we promised to give you tips on how to handle and manage your dry skin so as to have the glow you desire in case the basic skincare routine doesn’t work for you. 1. Rinse your face in the morning

5. They ask Thought-provoking questions
This should not come as a surprise. Intelligent people know how to ask the right questions because of how fast their brains processes and accepts information. It shows that they have a working knowledge of things and are highly observant.

6. They like being factual
When in an argument with an intelligent person, best believe that you’d need more than just hearsays or beliefs to topple them. They have a very high level of skepticism and so, do not take things on face value unless they are presented with hard facts.
